dc.description.abstractO objetivo de nosso estudo é compreender a implementação da Lei 10.639/03 na prática pedagógica da educação básica. Lei essa que tornou obrigatório o ensino de história da África e cultura afro-brasileira nas escolas públicas e privadas de todo o Brasil. Sua necessidade surgiu a partir da constatação de que a história e a cultura africana e afro brasileira estavam ausentes do currículo escolar brasileiro, sendo pouco explorados e muitas vezes desconhecidos pela comunidade escolar. O estudo busca retomar as origens da promulgação da Lei 10.639/03; discutir a prática pedagógica na educação básica com foco na Lei 10.639/03; mapear a produção científica existente sobre a Lei 10.639/03 na educação básica em periódicos, artigos, teses e dissertações, e, por fim, realizar a análise do corpus localizado mediatizada por análise de conteúdo (BARDIN, 2016). A pesquisa se qualifica como estado do conhecimento, com recorte temporal a partir do ano de promulgação da lei 2003 até o ano de 2023, com busca analítica cruzada com três descritores “lei 10.639/03” “educação básica” e “prática pedagógica”, realizada a partir do Portal Periódicos e Teses e Dissertações da Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior, Biblioteca Digital Brasileira de Teses e Dissertações (BDTD) e Biblioteca Eletrônica Científica Online (Scielo). Nos apoiamos teoricamente em autores como Darci Ribeiro (1995), Gilberto Freyre (2003) e Sergio Buarque de Holanda (1995) que respaldam o debate sobre a constituição do povo brasileiro, discutimos aportes legais da educação mediatizados pela legislação, trazemos autores que pesquisam a lei em pauta dentre eles Luciano Gonçalves Costa (2010), Laurentino Gomes (2019), Liana Lewis (2014) entre outros, e autores da área da educação pensando na prática pedagógica como Freire (1996), Libâneo (2013), Saviani (2009), dentre outros. Mesmo a lei 10.639/03 tendo vinte anos de promulgação observamos que a implementação ainda é incipiente e não tem alcance amplificado na educação básica, em suas diferentes etapas e no escopo de todas as disciplinas e áreas no que tange a prática pedagógica, o estudo ganhou pertinência ao aferir a situação, demonstrando que se faz necessário mais pesquisas neste âmbito, especialmente para vislumbrar a construção de uma sociedade cada vez mais igualitária e equável.
dc.description.resumoThe objective of our study is to understand the implementation of Law 10,639/03 in the pedagogical practice of basic education. This law made the teaching of African history and Afro-Brazilian culture mandatory in public and private schools throughout Brazil. Its need arose from the realization that African and Afro-Brazilian history and culture were absent from the Brazilian school curriculum, being little explored and often unknown by the school community. The study seeks to return to the origins of the promulgation of Law 10,639/03; discuss pedagogical practice in basic education with a focus on Law 10,639/03; map the existing scientific production on Law 10,639/03 in basic education in periodicals, articles, theses and dissertations, and, finally, carry out the analysis of the localized corpus mediated by content analysis (BARDIN, 2016). The research qualifies as a state of knowledge, with a time frame from the year the law was enacted in 2003 until the current year 2023, with a cross-analytical search with three descriptors “law 10.639/03”, “basic education” and “pedagogical practice” , carried out from the Periodicals and Theses and Dissertations Portal of the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel, the Brazilian Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations (BDTD) and the Online Scientific Electronic Library (Scielo). We rely theoretically on authors such as Darci Ribeiro (1995), Gilberto Freyre (2003) and Sergio Buarque de Holanda (1995) who support the debate on the constitution of the Brazilian people, we will discuss legal contributions to education mediated by legislation, we will bring authors who research the law on the agenda, among them Luciano Gonçalves Costa (2010), Laurentino Gomes (2019), Liana Lewis (2014) among others, and authors in the field of education thinking about pedagogical practice such as Freire (1996), Libâneo (2013), Saviani (2009 ), among others. Even though law 10,639/03 has been enacted for twenty years, we observed that implementation is still in its infancy and does not have an expanded reach in basic education, in its different stages and in the scope of all disciplines and areas in terms of pedagogical practice, the study gained relevance when assessing the situation, demonstrating that more research is needed in this area, especially to envision the construction of an increasingly egalitarian and equitable society.
