dc.description.abstractEsta pesquisa se insere na linha de estudos sobre “Educação, História e Formação de professores” do Programa de Pós-Graduação - Mestrado Acadêmico em Ensino - Formação Docente Interdisciplinar da Universidade Estadual do Paraná – Campus de Paranavaí. Também está vinculada à linha “História da Infância e Educação Infantil no Brasil” do Grupo de Estudos e Pesquisas em História, Estado, Políticas e Educação, cadastrado no DGP-CNPq. A abordagem escolhida como tema para dissertação é um estudo sobre a ausência expressiva de docentes masculinos na Educação Infantil, haja vista o predomínio docente de mulheres nessa etapa da educação básica. Inquietado com o baixíssimo número de docentes homens na educação da infância, o objeto do estudo consiste em investigar e analisar a escassez da docência masculina na Educação Infantil na rede municipal de educação do município de Paranavaí-PR, que se encontra intimamente relacionada à diversos discursos sociais estereotipados que, relacionados ao modo de produção da vida material, sustentam a ideia de não pertencimento. Para tanto, a investigação implica na realização de uma pesquisa de natureza qualitativa com fontes bibliográficas, fundamentada no materialismo histórico-dialético, tendo como categorias de análise: totalidade e contradição. No entanto, seu direcionamento implica em um estudo de caso acompanhado de análise documental e sua realização inclui a aplicação de questionários a acadêmicos do curso de Pedagogia da Unespar e a profissionais já atuantes na Educação Infantil. Busca compreender a relação existente entre a historicidade da educação da infância com o desenvolvimento do capitalismo, a partir do século XIX na Europa. Na sequência discute o processo de feminização do magistério como decorrente das mudanças desencadeadas pela Revolução Industrial. Considera os dados estatísticos dos últimos Censos da Educação Básica e do Ensino Superior buscando esclarecer a realidade atual, em nível nacional e estadual. Afinal, é preciso saber se a atual escassez masculina predomina desde os cursos de formação de professores voltados para a infância, o que acarreta na quase ausência desses profissionais nos campos de atuação. Por fim, estuda-se a realidade da rede municipal de Educação Infantil de Paranavaí- Pr, a partir de levantamento de dados na secretária de Educação do município - SEDUC e na interpretação das informações obtidas por meio dos questionários aplicados, tanto à estudantes homens de Pedagogia, como a professores/as já atuantes na primeira etapa da educação básica. A partir disso, compreendemos que o número escasso de docentes homens é resultado de concepções sobre: mulher, homem, docência e sociedade, perpetuados ao longo do processo histórico, desencadeado com a ascensão do sistema capitalista e a instauração da sociedade burguesa no século XIX, que se estende até os dias atuais. A escassez da docência masculina na Educação Infantil se perpetua na medida em que a dinâmica da vida material influencia a subjetividade humana, provocando o entendimento de que a educação da infância é mais propicia para mulheres e a atuação masculina é questionável, conforme reforçam os estereótipos.
dc.description.resumoThis research is part of the line of studies on "Education, History and Teacher Training" of the Graduate Program - Academic Master's in Teaching - Interdisciplinary Teacher Training at the State University of Paraná - Campus de Paranavaí. It is also linked to the line “History of Childhood and Early Childhood Education in Brazil” of the Study and Research Group in History, State, Policies and Education, registered with the DGP-CNPq. The approach chosen as the theme for the dissertation is a study on the significant absence of male teachers in Early Childhood Education, given the predominance of female teachers at this stage of basic education. Concerned with the very low number of male teachers in early childhood education, the object of the study is to investigate and analyze the scarcity of male teaching in Early Childhood Education in the municipal education network of the municipality of Paranavaí-PR, which is closely related to several discourses. stereotyped social groups that, related to the mode of production of material life, support the idea of non-belonging. To this end, the investigation implies conducting a qualitative research with bibliographic sources, based on historical-dialectical materialism, having as categories of analysis: totality and contradiction. However, its direction implies a case study accompanied by document analysis and its realization includes the application of questionnaires to academics of the Pedagogy course at Unespar and to professionals already working in Early Childhood Education. It seeks to understand the relationship between the historicity of childhood education and the development of capitalism, from the 19th century onwards in Europe. It then discusses the process of feminization of teaching as a result of the changes triggered by the Industrial Revolution. It considers the statistical data from the last Census of Basic Education and Higher Education, seeking to clarify the current reality, at national and state levels. After all, it is necessary to know if the current male shortage predominates since the teacher training courses aimed at childhood, which leads to the almost absence of these professionals in the fields of activity. Finally, the reality of the municipal network of Early Childhood Education in Paranavaí-Pr is studied, based on data collection at the municipal secretary of education - SEDUC and on the interpretation of information obtained through the questionnaires applied, both to male students of Pedagogy, as well as teachers already working in the first stage of basic education. From this, we understand that the scarce number of male teachers is the result of conceptions about: woman, man, teaching and society, perpetuated throughout the historical process, triggered with the rise of the capitalist system and the establishment of bourgeois society in the 19th century, that extends to the present day. The scarcity of male teaching in Early Childhood Education is perpetuated as the dynamics of material life influences human subjectivity, provoking the understanding that childhood education is more conducive to women and male performance is questionable, as stereotypes reinforce.
