dc.description.abstractOs livros didáticos desempenham um papel importante na Educação, cujo conteúdo neles presente, incluindo as imagens, é fundamental para facilitar a compreensão do estudante. Recursos visuais são amplamente utilizados, especialmente nos livros didáticos dos componentes curriculares das Ciências da Natureza, como Biologia, Química e Física onde a interdisciplinaridade da Educação Ambiental é frequentemente abordada. Esta pesquisa teve como principal objetivo investigar as especificidades dos recursos visuais relacionados à Educação Ambiental nos livros didáticos da área da Ciências da Natureza e suas Tecnologias, utilizados no Ensino Médio da Educação Básica no Estado do Paraná, e como esses recursos visuais representam diferentes correntes da Educação Ambiental. A pesquisa foi conduzida por meio de uma análise qualitativa de natureza documental, examinando uma coleção de seis livros didáticos desenvolvidos pelo Ministério da Educação e Cultura (MEC) em parceria com o Programa Nacional do Livro e Material Didático (PNLD) – FTD Educação, edição de 2020, dos autores Leandro Godoy, Rosana Dell’Agnolo e Wolney C. Melo. Esses livros são utilizados ao longo dos três anos do Ensino Médio. A partir de uma Análise Visual de Conteúdo, foram identificados os tipos predominantes de recursos visuais, as mensagens transmitidas e as correntes da Educação Ambiental representadas. Análise da qual se percebeu uma predominância significativa para o uso de fotografias, categorizadas em quatro contextos: demonstração, explicação, informação e resumo. Assim, mediante essa percepção de contextos, foi preciso criar subcategorias explicativas para cada um desses usos segundo a mensagem que estes contextos apresentam. Desta forma, analisamos que no contexto demonstração, a mensagem que teve a maior frequência foi a de fauna e/ou flora do meio ambiente, destacando a biodiversidade do planeta; no contexto explicação, a mensagem que obteve maior frequência foi a presença do homem no meio ambiente, salientando as atividades realizadas no dia a dia pelo mesmo; o contexto informação, a mensagem com maior frequência foi a energia renovável e não renovável, enfatizando os dados apresentados sobre os diferentes tipos de energia e; o contexto resumo, que evidencia a fauna e/ou flora, no intuito de resumir os grupos dos seres vivos. Resultando que, no contexto da Educação Ambiental, a maior parte das imagens reflete uma perspectiva naturalista, indicando que as representações visuais nesses livros enfatizam ambientes naturais e temas ecológicos, em consonância com a corrente naturalista da Educação Ambiental.
dc.description.resumoTextbooks play an important role in Education, and their content, including images, is essential to facilitate student understanding. Visual resources are widely used, especially in textbooks for the curricular components of Natural Sciences, such as Biology, Chemistry, and Physics, where the interdisciplinarity of Environmental Education is frequently addressed. This research had as its main objective to investigate the specificities of visual resources related to Environmental Education in textbooks in Natural Sciences and their Technologies, used in Basic Education High School in the State of Paraná, and how these visual resources represent different currents of Environmental Education. The research was conducted through a qualitative analysis of a documentary nature, examining a collection of six textbooks developed by the Ministry of Education and Culture (MEC) in partnership with the National Book and Teaching Material Program (PNLD) - FTD Education, 2020 edition, by authors Leandro Godoy, Rosana Dell’Agnolo, and Wolney C. Melo. These books are used throughout the three years of High School. Based on a Visual Content Analysis, the predominant types of visual resources, the messages transmitted and the currents of Environmental Education represented were identified. This analysis revealed a significant predominance of the use of photographs, categorized into four contexts: demonstration, explanation, information and summary. Thus, based on this perception of contexts, it was necessary to create explanatory subcategories for each of these uses according to the message that these contexts present. Thus, we analyzed that in the demonstration context, the message that had the highest frequency was that of fauna and/or flora of the environment, highlighting the biodiversity of the planet; in the explanation context, the message that had the highest frequency was the presence of man in the environment, highlighting the activities carried out by man on a daily basis; in the information context, the message with the highest frequency was renewable and non-renewable energy, emphasizing the data presented on the different types of energy; and in the summary context, which highlights fauna and/or flora, with the aim of summarizing the groups of living beings. As a result, in the context of Environmental Education, most of the images reflect a naturalist perspective, indicating that the visual representations in these books emphasize natural environments and ecological themes, in line with the naturalist current of Environmental Education.
