dc.description.abstractEsta pesquisa tem por objetivo apresentar uma investigação entre Literatura e Geografia, a partir da análise simbólica dos elementos cósmicos terra e água, que são apreensíveis na poética de Manoel de Barros, em cinco poemas publicados na obra Poesia Completa (2010). Tendo em vista a relação interdisciplinar entre as áreas mencionadas, julgamos viável a eleição da terra e da água como perspectivas imagéticas e simbólicas que produzem, no interior do texto, um efeito semântico e poético, podendo ser aproveitado na constituição de um cenário geográfico. A pesquisa é caracterizada como um estudo bibliográfico, de natureza quali-interpretativa e evidenciou um diálogo entre desenvolvimento social, cultural e humano tendo como parâmetro os poemas do referido poeta. O interesse em estudar Manoel de Barros partiu da constatação de que ainda existem diversas possibilidades de desenvolvimento de trabalhos relacionados ao escritor em questão. Assim, a proposição da análise simbólica dos elementos terra e água, com base nos estudos desenvolvidos por Bachelard, nos permitiu compreender como se opera a criação imaginária, verbal e estética de Manoel de Barros no espaço pantaneiro, terreno este que se perfaz no âmbito da constituição do homem, enquanto sujeito sensível e cognoscível. Buscamos, por meio da relação dialógica entre Literatura e Geografia entender a ampliação das possibilidades interpretativas e significativas que a linguagem poética permite, por meio de aspectos apreensíveis como paisagem, espaço e lugar, os quais favorecem a formação identitária, social e humanizadora. Associar arte a contextos fixos, como a geografia de um determinado espaço, é possibilitar a compreensão de sua dimensão e propagar a cultura brasileira, viabilizando o acesso aos mais variados saberes, permitindo aos possíveis leitores desta pesquisa uma alternativa reflexiva sobre os aspectos inerentes à formação do homem. Para tanto, foram fundamentais para a elaboração desta dissertação as contribuições de teóricos tais como: Candido (1972, 1995, 2000, 2006), Paz (1982) e Bosi (2000), para a discussão sobre a teoria literária, literatura, sociedade, arte e poesia; Durand (1993, 1994, 1996, 2002), Alleau (2001) e Chevalier e Gheerbrant (2001), para o estudo dos símbolos e imagens; Bachelard (1984, 1989, 1990, 1991, 1993), para o estudo da criação poética e interpretação dos elementos terra e água; e Santos, Corrêa, Rosendahl, Ravetti, Cury, Ávila, Tuan, Mello e Lima (2001, 2009, 2007, 2009,1982, 1990, 2000), para discutir sobre a relação entre Literatura e Geografia e as noções de espaço, paisagem e lugar, dentre outros autores que enriqueceram este texto a partir de suas propostas de estudos. Neste sentido, podemos concluir que esta pesquisa oportunizou o conhecimento sobre vida e obra de Manoel de Barros, poeta do Modernismo brasileiro, que nos presenteou com um legado literário ímpar e inovador, enaltecendo seres, coisas ínfimas e cotidianas em sua poesia, ofertando aos leitores a sublimação do trivial e a vivência da arte poética
dc.description.resumoThis research aims at presenting an investigation between Literature and Geography, from the symbolic analysis of the land and water, cosmic elements, which are apprehensible in the poetics of Manoel de Barros, in five poems published in Poesia Completa (2010). In view of the interdisciplinary relationship between the mentioned areas, we consider the choice of land and water as an imaginary and symbolic perspectives that produce within the text a semantic and poetic effect and can be used in the constitution of a geographical setting. The research is characterized as a bibliographical study, of a qualitative and interpretative nature and evidenced a dialogue between social, cultural and human development, having as a parameter the poems of the mentioned poet. The interest in studying Manoel de Barros was based on the fact that there are still several possibilities for the development of works related to the writer in question, linked to the symbolic analysis of the elements land and water, based on the studies developed by Bachelard, which allowed us to understand how the imaginary, verbal and aesthetic creation of Manoel de Barros operates in the Pantanal space, a terrain that becomes within the scope of the constitution of man as a sensitive and knowable subject. Through the dialogical relationship between Literature and Geography, we seek to understand the extension of the interpretative and meaningful possibilities that poetic language allows, through apprehensible aspects such as landscape, space and place, which favor a social, humanizing and identity formation. To associate art to fixed contexts, such as the geography of a given space, is to make it possible to understand its dimension and propagate the Brazilian culture, allowing access to the most varied knowledge, allowing the possible readers of this research a reflexive alternative on the inherent aspects of the formation of man. For that, the contributions of theorists such as Candido (1972, 1995, 2000, 2006), Paz (1982) and Bosi (2000) were fundamental for the elaboration of this dissertation, for the discussion on the literary theory, art and poetry; Durand (1993, 1994, 1996, 2002), Alleau (2001) and Chevalier and Gheerbrant (2001), for the study of symbols and images; Bachelard (1984, 1989, 1990, 1991, 1993) for the study of poetic creation and interpretation of land and water elements; and Santos, Corrêa, Rosendahl, Ravetti, Cury, Ávila, Tuan, Mello and Lima (2001, 2009, 2007, 2009,1982, 1990, 2000) to discuss the relationship between Literature and Geography and the notions of space, landscape and place, among other authors who enriched this text from their study proposals. In this sense, we can conclude that this research provided the knowledge about life and work of Manoel de Barros, a Brazilian Modernism poet, who presented us with an unique and innovative literary legacy, extolling beings, everyday things in his poetry, offering readers the sublimation of the trivial and the experience of poetic art.
