dc.description.abstractPoderiam os corpos dos personagens de Me chame pelo seu nome (2017), de Luca Guadagnino, serem imagens sobreviventes da arte grega do período clássico? A partir dos escritos de Georges Didi-Huberman e Etienne Samain acerca do legado de Aby Warburg e seu Atlas Mnemosyne, essa pesquisa propõe uma reflexão acerca da construção da iconografia de Elio e Oliver, protagonistas do filme, em uma perspectiva que recupera na história da arte a produção estatuária grega do período clássico. Além disso, investiga-se a maneira com a qual o longametragem põe esses corpos em cena, apresentando uma reflexão acerca de determinados padrões da fotografia homoerótica, aqui aferidos a partir do trabalho de Alair Gomes, na maneira de iluminar, enquadrar, fragmentar esses corpos. A apreensão deste pensamento das imagens e pelas imagens se dá pelo cruzamento entre elas, a partir do cotejo, da comparação, da colagem, pondo as imagens em diálogo e fazendo seu pensamento emergir. Dessa forma, o trabalho abarca o cinema a partir de sua inserção na história da arte ao explicitar pelo texto e pelas imagens cruzadas como certas representações clássicas do corpo masculino sobrevivem na contemporaneidade.
dc.description.resumoCould the characters's bodies in Luca Guadagnino's Call me by your name (2017) be surviving images of Greek art from the classical period? Based on the writings of Georges Didi-Huberman and Etienne Samain about Aby Warburg's legacy and his Atlas Mnemosyne, this research proposes a reflection on the construction of the iconography of Elio and Oliver, the film's protagonists, in a perspective that retrieves in history of art the Greek statuary production of the classical period. Furthermore, the way in which the feature film puts these bodies on scene is investigated, presenting a reflection on certain patterns of homoerotic photography, here measured from the work of Alair Gomes, in the way of illuminating, framing, fragmenting these bodies. The apprehension of this thought of images and through images takes place through the crossing between them, from confrontation, comparison, collage, putting the images into dialogue and making their thoughts emerge. Therefore, the work embraces the cinema from its insertion in the history of art by explaining through the text and the crossed images how certain classic representations of the male body survive in contemporaneity.
