dc.description.abstractO objetivo desta pesquisa é, a partir da preocupação com as audiências e a História Pública, compreender historicamente e processualmente o impacto do Grupo Parafolclórico Pôr do Sol e o Festival de Folclore de Quinta do Sol no âmbito público da referida cidade, entendido tanto pelo discurso oficial do município quanto pelas memórias dos seus moradores. Afinal, quais fatores históricos, culturais e sociais, levaram uma cidade do interior, sem tradição nativa da cultura popular, a ser elevada ao título de Capital Paranaense do Folclore? Por meio de entrevistas com moradores, representantes do grupo e do poder público, bem como, análise de materiais de divulgação e matérias jornalísticas, tenta-se compreender esse fenômeno cultural e perceber como os moradores entendem e/ou ressignificam esta tradição recente. Em 2002, surgiu de um projeto escolar que deu origem à Associação de Pesquisa e Projeção Folclórica Pôr do Sol, um grupo de danças folclóricas com a participação de professores, alunos e membros da comunidade, que já se apresentou em festivais na América do Sul e Europa. A partir de 2005, foi criado o Festival de Folclore de Quinta do Sol - FEFOSOL, atividade que se consolidou como um evento à nível nacional e internacional, com a participação de grupos de todas as regiões do Brasil e de outros países. O evento é aberto ao público e tem entrada gratuita, atraindo espectadores da cidade e região, sendo um polo de democratização da cultura popular. Assim, a pesquisa procura valorizar o folclore, aqui entendido pelo significado das práticas, apropriações e ressignificações populares a partir das dinâmicas histórico-culturais em Quinta do Sol, por meio de entrevistas ressaltando a História Oral e pesquisa documental e imagética sobre esse período. Como resultado propositivo, o projeto visou a criação-teste de um Memorial Virtual do Folclore de Quinta do Sol, para salvaguardar e difundir as memórias sobre esse fenômeno histórico e cultural.
dc.description.resumoThe objective of this research is to understand, from the perspective of public history and the people, the historical and procedural impact of the contemporary folkloric group "Pôr do Sol" and the Quinta do Sol's Folklore Festival within the aforementioned town's public sphere, as perceived through both the official municipal discourse as well as the memories of its residents. After all, what historical, cultural and social factors led a suburban city with no native traditions of popular culture, to be elevated to the title of Paraná's Folklore Capital? Through interviews with residents and public representatives, along with the analysis of publicity materials and news stories, it is attempted to comprehend this cultural phenomenon and to acknowledge how the residents understand and/or add new meaning to this recent tradition. In 2002, a school project gave rise to the "Por do Sol Folklore Research and Projection Association", a group of folkloric dance performances featuring the participation of teachers, students, and community members. The group has since performed in festivals across South America and Europe. From 2005 onwards, the "Quinta do Sol's Folklore Festival - FEFOSOL" was created, and through time, it has entrenched itself as a national and international event, with groups from all regions of Brazil as well as from other countries attending. The event is open to the public and it is also free, attracting viewers from the city and the region, being a center of the democratization of popular culture. Thus, this research aims to value folklore, understood here as the meaning of popular practices, appropriations and re-significations arising from the historical-cultural dynamics in Quinta do Sol, through interviews that highlight the oral history as well as the documentary and imagery research of this period. As a proposed result, the project envisioned the test-creation of a Quinta do Sol Folklore Virtual Memorial, to safeguard and disseminate the memories regarding this historical and cultural phenomenon.
