dc.description.abstractA presente dissertação, inserida no campo da História Pública, tem como objetivo analisar e operacionalizar a criação da Sala Memorial Sigismundo Gdaniec, no município de Quedas do Iguaçu (PR), como espaço de preservação da memória, valorização do patrimônio cultural e formação cidadã. A pesquisa orienta-se pela seguinte questão: como proteger, organizar e ativar pedagogicamente um acervo escolar de modo a transformá-lo em instrumento de construção da memória coletiva e de participação social? Metodologicamente, trata-se de uma pesquisa de natureza aplicada, com abordagem qualitativa, caráter exploratório e descritivo, que articula revisão bibliográfica, análise documental e práticas de intervenção no contexto escolar. O estudo contextualiza historicamente a formação regional, analisa a trajetória de Sigismundo Gdaniec e examina o papel da escola na produção de memória e identidade. Como resultado, evidencia-se que a criação da Sala Memorial constitui uma prática efetiva de mediação entre conhecimento acadêmico e comunidade, contribuindo para a preservação do patrimônio cultural e para a ressignificação das memórias locais. Além disso, apresenta-se uma cartilha orientadora para a implementação de espaços memoriais em contextos educativos.
dc.description.resumoThis dissertation, situated within the field of Public History, aims to analyze and operationalize the creation of the Sala Memorial Sigismundo Gdaniec, in the municipality of Quedas do Iguaçu, as a space for the preservation of memory, the appreciation of cultural heritage, and civic education. The research is guided by the following question: how can a school collection be protected, organized, and pedagogically activated in order to transform it into an instrument for the construction of collective memory and social participation? Methodologically, this is an applied research study with a qualitative approach and an exploratory and descriptive character, combining bibliographic review, documentary analysis, and intervention practices within the school context. The study historically contextualizes regional formation, analyzes the trajectory of Sigismundo Gdaniec, and examines the role of the school in the production of memory and identity. As a result, it is demonstrated that the creation of the Memorial Room constitutes an effective practice of mediation between academic knowledge and the community, contributing to the preservation of cultural heritage and to the re-signification of local memories. Furthermore, the dissertation presents a guiding handbook for the implementation of memorial spaces in educational contexts.
