dc.description.abstractO presente estudo composto de três artigos têm como objetivos: abordar as principais influências de Monja Coen no imaginário orientalista na audiência do Zen Budismo, sobretudo, no que se refere às dimensões de sua persona enquanto representante religiosa e figura pública; analisar as representações sociais orientalistas através da memória dos entrevistados; relatar e analisar o material propositivo em formato de podcast. Para tanto, definiram-se os seguintes objetivos específicos: conceituar imaginário orientalista e audiências, tendo-se como ancoragem teórica a problematização da noção de invenção do Oriente a partir das potencialidades da História Pública; identificar tópicos relevantes para a compreensão da relação Monja Coen, Zen Budismo e o Oriente; realizar reconhecimento sobre comunidades zen budistas; desenvolver e analisar material propositivo em formato de podcast. Abordar estes objetivos justifica-se por por existir a necessidade de se estudar e produzir novos trabalhos acerca da cultura oriental, tendo em vista a quantidade de produções que ainda carregam historicamente uma dependência das mentalidades ditas eurocêntricas ou ocidentalizantes. O presente estudo consiste em pesquisa de caráter exploratório, com resultados tratados de maneira qualitativa, a partir da coleta de dados primários e secundários.
dc.description.resumoThis study, composed of three articles, aims to: address Monja Coen's main influences on the orientalist imaginary in the Zen Buddhism audience, especially with regard to the dimensions of her persona as a religious representative and public figure; to analyze the orientalist social representations through the memory of the interviewees; report and analyze the proposed material in podcast format. To this end, the following specific objectives were defined: to conceptualize the Orientalist imaginary and audiences, having as a theoretical anchor the problematization of the notion of invention of the Orient based on the potentialities of Public History; identify relevant topics for understanding the relationship Monja Coen, Zen Buddhism and the East; conduct reconnaissance on Zen Buddhist communities; develop and analyze propositional material in podcast format. Addressing these objectives is justified by the fact that there is a need to study and produce new works about eastern culture, in view of the number of productions that still historically carry a dependence on the so-called Eurocentric or Westernizing mentalities. The present study consists of an exploratory research, with results treated in a qualitative way, from the collection of primary and secondary data.
