dc.description.abstractA pesquisa tem como objeto de estudo a trajetória da cineasta francesa Alice Guy Blaché e suas obras fílmicas, investigando o cenário de produções artísticas do final do século XIX e início do XX, principalmente por mulheres, assim como o próprio movimento feminista, através de suas pautas por direitos igualitários, buscando entender como essas referências se encontram presentes nos filmes que a cineasta produziu e dirigiu entre 1896 e 1919. Além disso, a pesquisa visa ampliar a visibilidade da cineasta no Brasil, uma vez que teve sua historiografia apagada durante muitos anos e como isso pode ter contribuído para a construção cinematográfica de predominância criativa masculina dentro do cinema. Os filmes Consequências do feminismo (1906), Ocean Waif (1916), A four year heroine (1907) e Falling Leaves (1912) serão analisados de forma a investigar as contribuições da cineasta, através de suas experiências pessoais, históricas e culturais enquanto mulher realizadora.
dc.description.resumoThe objective of this study is to examine the trajectory of the French filmmaker Alice Guy Blaché and her film works, investigating the scenario of artistic productions of the late 19th and early 20th centuries, mainly by women, as well as the feminist movement itself, through its guidelines for equal rights, seeking to understand how these references are present in the movies that the filmmaker produced and directed between 1896 and 1919. In addition, the research aims to increase the filmmaker's visibility in Brazil, since her historiography was erased for many years and how this may have contributed to the cinematographic construction of male creative predominance within cinema. The films Consequences of feminism (1906), Ocean Waif (1916), A four year heroine (1907) and Falling Leaves (1912) will be analyzed in order to investigate the contributions of the filmmaker, through her personal, historical and cultural experiences as a woman director.
