dc.description.abstractEsta pesquisa analisa teoricamente o tratado moral Da educação das crianças, escrito por Plutarco na Antiguidade, no século I d.C., tendo por intencionalidade discorrer sobre como se deve educar um indivíduo em seu aspecto físico, moral e intelectual, envolvendo a figura dos pais e os professores no processo de ensino e aprendizagem. Para descrever este trabalho, a visão plutarquiana, foi organizado um projeto educacional que perpassa as diferentes fases do ser humano: infância, adolescência e juventude, dentro dos preceitos da educação grega. O objetivo da pesquisa é analisar como Plutarco considerou a formação moral e educacional do homem, em suas diferentes fases de vida. Para o aporte teórico e metodológico utilizado para o desenvolvimento desta investigação, recorreu-se à História Social indicada por Marc Bloch (2001), que estuda o homem social no tempo histórico entre passado e presente. Esse conceito fornece base para compreender como se instaurou a formação educacional do homem nos conceitos de periodização da história. De natureza qualitativa e bibliográfica, para fundamentar esta pesquisa, autores historiográficos que abordam sobre antiguidade e formação humana foram utilizados, como Silva (2006), Funari (2002), Werner (1994), Marrou (1973), entre outros. Este estudo atentou-se em explicitar como ocorre a formação educacional do homem na Idade Antiga, elencando os aspectos históricos no período greco-romano. A transição do Período Clássico ao Período Helenístico foi marcada pelo domínio do Império Romano sobre a Grécia Antiga, o que ocasionou a incorporação, em âmbito cultural e educacional, dos gregos aos latinos. Essa incorporação tornou propício que as tradições da Grécia Antiga não se perdessem com o decorrer do tempo, por causa e efeito dos pensamentos de Plutarco, que sendo grego e fiel a seu país, induziu os romanos a adotarem os princípios da cultura grega. Partindo desse pressuposto teórico-metodológico, os resultados apresentados segmentam uma abordagem prescrita de como a educação na Antiguidade ocorria, por meio de uma formação contínua de caráter científico e ético-moral.
dc.description.resumoThis research theoretically analyzes the moral treaty On the Education of Children, written by Plutarch in Antiquity, in the 1st century A.D., with the intention of discussing how an individual should be educated in their physical, moral, and intellectual aspects, involving parents and teachers in the teaching and learning process. To describe this work, the vision by Plutarch, an educational project was organized that covers the phases of the human being, childhood, adolescence, and youth within Greek education precepts. The central objective is to elucidate how the moral and educational formation of man takes place in his different stages of life in Plutarch in the Ancient Age. For theoretical and methodological support used for development of this investigation, it was resorted to Social History indicated by Marc Bloch (2001), who studies the social man in the historical time between past and present. This concept provides a basis for understanding how educational formation of man was established in the concepts of history periodization. Qualitative and bibliographic in nature, to support this research, historiographical authors who address Antiquity and human formation were used, such as Silva (2006), Funari (2002), Werner (1994), Marrou (1973), among others. This study sought to explain how educational formation of man occurred in the Ancient Age, listing the historical aspects in the Greco-Roman period. Transition from the Classical Period to the Hellenistic one was marked by dominance of the Roman Empire over Ancient Greece, which led to the incorporation, in cultural and educational terms, of the Greeks into the Latins. This incorporation made it possible for the traditions of Ancient Greece not to be lost over time, due to the cause and effect of Plutarch’s thoughts, who as Greek and faithful to his country, induced the Romans to adopt the principles of Greek culture. Based on this theoretical-methodological assumption, the results presented here segment a prescribed approach to how education in Antiquity occurred, through continued training of a scientific and ethical moral nature.
