dc.description.abstractEste estudo tem por objetivo a análise do comportamento social dos homens dos séculos XIII e XIV e do ensino que eles recebiam na Idade Média. Para tanto, se vale do contexto histórico, bem como da interpretação e estudo do clássico francês O Romance da Rosa (2001), escrito por Guillaume de Lorris e Jean de Meun. A problematização atentou-se à influência religiosa no saber medieval, às transformações advindas do comércio e às relações entre fé e razão que conduziram o homem a uma nova concepção de mundo, perpassando também por uma reflexão acerca dos pecados capitais vinculados à natureza do homem medieval, estabelecendo ainda um paralelo com a noção entre certo e errado para a sociedade contemporânea. A justificativa para a escolha do tema paira sobre sua contemporaneidade e a importância dos clássicos literários no ensino crítico, bem como na formação humana. O método de pesquisa empreendido foi de cunho histórico e nos levou a concluir que o homem medieval sentia-se confuso em relação às transformações sociais, econômicas e intelectuais, e que os ensinamentos necessários para a superação das adversidades poderiam ser encontrados na literatura produzida no próprio período de transição. A produção clássica e literária, como é o caso da obra analisada, instiga o imaginário ao mesmo tempo em que discute os aspectos sociais, ensinando o homem a se portar, conhecer e agir socialmente perante os valores que configuram-se historicamente.
dc.description.resumoThis study aims to analyze the social behavior of men in the thirteenth and fourteenth centuries and the education they received in the Middle Ages. Therefore, whether it's historical context as well as the interpretation and study of the French classic The Romance of the Rose (2001), written by Guillaume de Lorris and Jean de Meun. Problematization looked to the religious influence in the medieval knowledge, the changes arising from the trade and the relationship between faith and reason that led the man to a new conception of the world, also permeating by a reflection on the capital sins linked to the nature of medieval man also establishing a parallel with the notion of right and wrong to contemporary society. The rationale for the choice of subject hovers over its contemporaneity and the importance of literary classics in critical education and human formation. The research method used was historical nature and led us to conclude that the medieval man felt confused about the social, economic and intellectual transformations, and that lessons needed to overcome the adversities could be found in the literature produced on the same transition period. The classical and literary production, as it's the case of the work analyzed, estimulates the imagination while discussing the social part, teaching man to behave, know and act socially before the values that set up historically.
