dc.description.abstractNesta pesquisa objetivamos compreender como a criação da Faculdade de Filosofia, Ciências e Letras de Paranavaí/PR (FAFI), contribuiu para a formação de professores em Paranavaí e região. A investigação delimita-se entre 1965 (ano em que a FAFI foi criada) e 1970 (ano em que a primeira turma de formandos colou grau). Ao longo de sua existência a FAFI passou por mudanças nas denominações, as quais serão discutidas ao longo do texto. Concebemos que instituições educacionais, em particular as de ensino superior, tem um papel ímpar no desenvolvimento de uma cidade e região, por isso torna-se necessário estudar e conhecer como foi organizada. Justificamos a seguinte pesquisa demonstrando que a FAFI nasceu como parte de projetos mais amplos, de cunho socioeducacional e político, graças a pessoas que sonharam e lutaram para que ela existisse e a transformação que esta instituição trouxe para a vida de muitas pessoas que por ali passaram, logo, esta pesquisa tem o intuito de contribuir para a escrita da história da educação regional e nacional. A narrativa que organizamos se pauta em fontes documentais localizadas no arquivo do campus, as quais revelam aspectos da trajetória desta instituição, bem como de práticas nela desenvolvidas, ou seja, da micro-história dessa instituição. Essas fontes documentais se entretecem com a pesquisa realizada através da escuta de histórias contadas por antigos alunos da instituição, evidenciando suas memórias e representações, assim como as notícias que circularam entre leitores da cidade e região, via Diário do Noroeste. Essas fontes foram fundamentais para conhecermos a instituição com os olhos da sociedade, ou seja, com um olhar macro. A pesquisa, de cunho sócio histórico pauta-se na análise documental, bibliográfica e também registros de memórias educacionais, arquivos institucionais e privados, dentre eles livros, atas, fotografias, jornais e noticias da internet. Organizamos a narrativa com base na história sociocultural, a partir de Chartier (1990) e Le Goff (1990), entre outros. Buscamos também amparo em outras pesquisas, como de Anísio Teixeira (1989), para entendermos a organização do Ensino Superior no Brasil. A pesquisa possibilitou estudar aspectos da história desta Instituição de Ensino Superior, e se aproximarmos da realidade e demandas locais para a formação de professores que atuaram em escolas primárias e secundárias, as quais estavam sendo construídas naquela época.
dc.description.resumoIn this research we aim to understand how the creation of the Faculdade de Filosofia, Ciências e Letras of Paranavaí/PR (FAFI), contributed to the formation of teachers in Paranavaí and region. The investigation is limited between 1965 (the year in which the FAFI was created) and 1972 (the year in which the first group of graduates graduated). Throughout its existence, FAFI has undergone changes in names: in 1990 it was state-owned and named Faculdade Estadual de Filosofia, Ciências e Letras of Paranavaí/PR (FAFI). In 2012, it became the campus of the Universidade Estadual do Paraná (Unespar). We conceive those educational institutions, in particular those of higher education, have a unique role in the development of a city and region, so it becomes necessary to study and know how it was organized. FAFI was born as part of broader projects, of a socio-educational and political nature, thanks to people who dreamed and fought for it to exist, so this research aims to contribute to the writing of the history of regional and national education. The first four courses were offered from 1966 onwards: Science, Geography, Portuguese/French and Portuguese/English Literature, and Pedagogy. The narrative that we organize is based on documentary sources located in the campus archive, which reveal aspects of the trajectory of this institution, as well as the practices developed therein, that is, the micro-history of this institution. These documentary sources intertwine with interviews with graduates of the first classes, highlighting their memories and representations, as well as news that circulated among readers in the city and region, by Diário do Noroeste. These sources were fundamental for us to get to know the institution through the eyes of society, that is, with a macro view. The socio-historical research is based on document analysis, bibliography and field research, using primary and secondary sources and records of educational memories, institutional and private archives. We organize the narrative based on sociocultural history, from Chartier (1990) and Le Goff (1990), among others. We also seek support in other studies, such as Anísio Teixeira (1989), in order to understand the organization of Higher Education in Brazil. As a result, the research made it possible to study aspects of the history of this Institution of Higher Education, approaching the reality and local demands for the training of teachers to work in primary and secondary schools, which were being built at that time.
