dc.description.abstractA falta de oportunidade de emprego, a baixa escolaridade e a ausência de políticas de inclusão, entre tantos fatores, tem levado milhares de brasileiros, homens e mulheres, de diferentes faixas etárias, a encontrar nas ruas, em meio aos detritos, a condição de manter sua dignidade e sua cidadania. É neste contexto, que essa pesquisa objetiva analisar a Cooperativa Resíduo Solidário (COOPERESÍDUOS) em Campo Mourão-PR, destacando as identidades construídas pelos catadores no aspecto do cooperativismo. A metodologia utilizada foi constituída de pesquisa qualitativa, por meio do método dialético, seguido da análise de leis federais, estaduais e municipais e do levantamento de dados técnicos em órgãos públicos. As análises quantitativas também foram relevantes para as a compreensão do funcionamento da Cooperativa entre os anos de 2013 a 2016. Também foi realizada a observação participativa na cooperativa na qual aplicamos junto aos cooperados um survey. Por fim, realizamos entrevistas semiestruturadas objetivando compreender as relações que os cooperados estabelecem com a cooperativa por meio das narrativas das trajetórias de vida. Os resultados da pesquisa indicam que os catadores trazem consigo as implicações da marginalidade da atividade de catação. Esses trabalhadores, ao declarar: “não sou um trabalhador do lixo”, querem ressignificar sua existência e a sua profissão, por meio de uma nova identidade individual e de classe, alterando o estigma de invisibilidade a que estão submetidos. Acima de tudo, a cooperativa se coloca como uma alternativa de economia solidária diante da organização do mercado e do capital.
dc.description.resumoThe lack of employment opportunities, low levels of schooling and the absence of inclusion policies, among many factors, have led thousands of Brazilians, men and women of different age groups, to find in the streets, among the debris, the condition of maintain their dignity and citizenship. It is in this context, that this research aims at analyzing Cooperativa Residuos Solidário (COOPERESÍDUOS) in Campo Mourão-PR, highlighting the identities built by the collectors in the aspect of cooperativism. The methodology used consisted of qualitative research, through the dialectical method, followed by the analysis of federal, state and municipal laws and the collection of technical data in public agencies. The quantitative analyzes were also relevant to the understanding of the operation of the Cooperative between the years of 2013 to 2016. Participatory observation was also carried out in the cooperative in which we applied a survey to the cooperatives. Finally, we conduct semi-structured interviews aiming to understand the relationships that the cooperative establish with the cooperative through the narratives of the life trajectories. The results of the research indicate that the scavengers carry with them the implications of the marginality of the harvesting activity. These workers, in declaring, "I am not a garbage worker," want to re-signify their existence and their profession, through a new individual and class identity, changing the stigma of invisibility to which they are subjected. Above all, the cooperative stands as an alternative of solidarity economy before the organization of the market and capital.
