dc.description.abstractEsta dissertação investiga as virtudes presentes na obra literária A Canção de Rolando e suas contribuições para p papel das relações humanas. O objeto de pesquisa é a análise da referida obra, contextualizada no período medieval, com ênfase nas virtudes que permeiam o texto e seus impactos sociais e educativos, com destaque para a virtude da amizade, justiça coragem. Para responder o problema de pesquisa: “como A Canção de Rolando, enquanto obra literária medieval, contribui para a formação de valores e virtudes que moldam as relações humanas?”, o estudo tem como objetivo geral analisar como as virtudes apresentadas na obra, especialmente a amizade, a coragem e a justiça, refletem e influenciam os valores da sociedade medieval, promovendo reflexões sobre seu impacto no contexto social e educacional, estabelecendo paralelos argumentativos com o contexto contemporâneo e promovendo reflexões sobre a relevância dessas virtudes para as relações humanas. Como objetivos específicos, busca-se: (1) contextualizar o momento histórico, social e cultural da Idade Média retratado na obra; (2) analisar as virtudes descritas presentes em A Canção de Rolando e sua relação com o convívio social; e (3) discutir a tradição oral e sua relevância na formação das relações humanas, com destaque para as cantigas de roda na Educação Infantil. A pesquisa, de cunho documental e bibliográfico, fundamenta-se na História Social, utilizando o conceito de longa duração para identificar as permanências das raízes históricas que se desenvolvem e permanecem nos fenômenos sociais, como as virtudes que se perpetuam ao longo do tempo, conforme Fernand Braudel (1984). A fundamentação teórica apoia-se em autores como Jacques Le Goff (1989), André Vauchez (1995) e André Comte-Sponville (2009). Para além disso, a dissertação está organizada em três seções. A primeira apresenta uma análise histórica do período medieval, destacando o papel da Igreja, da nobreza e da literatura na construção da sociedade feudal. O segundo capítulo aprofunda-se na Canção de Rolando, explorando as virtudes centrais da obra e sua relevância para o contexto social. O terceiro capítulo discute a tradição oral e a oralidade como instrumentos de formação humana, analisando sua relação com a educação e o desenvolvimento de valores em diferentes épocas, propondo uma abordagem contemporânea para a Educação Infantil com base em fundamentais para a vida em sociedade. Os resultados indicam que A Canção de Rolando sintetiza os valores e virtudes fundamentais para o convívio social e desenvolvimento humano da sociedade medieval, demonstrando a persistência desses conceitos ao longo do tempo, sendo inegável sua relevância para a literatura e estudos históricos e culturais. Também oferecem reflexões relevantes para a compreensão das transformações nas relações humanas e a importância de virtudes como elementos formadores. Além disso, o estudo de A Canção de Rolando mostra-nos a importância do conhecimento decorrente dos fatos históricos e da necessidade de virtudes em todos os espaços e tempos.
dc.description.resumoThis thesis investigates the virtues present in the literary work Song of Roland and their contributions to the role of human relations. The object of research is the analysis of the aforementioned work, contextualized in the medieval period, with emphasis on the virtues that permeate the text and their social and educational impacts, highlighting the virtues of friendship, justice and courage. To answer the research problem “How does the Song of Roland, as a medieval literary work, contribute to the formation of values and virtues that shape human relations?“ the study has as its general objective to analyze how the virtues presented in the work, especially friendship, courage and justice, reflect and influence the values of medieval society, promoting reflections on their impact on the social and educational context, establishing argumentative parallels with the contemporary context and promoting reflections on the relevance of these virtues for human relations. As specific objectives, we seek to: (1) contextualize the historical, social and cultural moment of the Middle Ages portrayed in the work; (2) analyze the virtues described in the Song of Roland and their relationship with social coexistence; and (3) discuss oral tradition and its relevance in the shaping of human relationships, with emphasis on children's songs in Early Childhood Education. The research, documentary and bibliographic in nature, is based on Social History, using the concept of long term, to identify the permanence of historical roots that develop and remain in social phenomena, such as virtues that are perpetuated over time, according to Fernand Braudel (1984). The theoretical basis is founded on authors such as Jacques Le Goff (1989), André Vauchez (1995) and André Comte-Sponville (2009). In addition, the thesis is organized into three sections. The first presents a historical analysis of the medieval period, highlighting the role of the Church, the nobility and literature in the construction of feudal society. The second chapter delves into the Song of Roland, exploring the central virtues of the work and its relevance to the social context. The third chapter discusses oral tradition and orality as instruments of human development, analyzing its relationship with education and the development of values in different eras, proposing a contemporary approach to Early Childhood Education with fundamental virtues for life in society. The results indicate that the Song of Roland synthesizes the fundamental values and virtues for social coexistence and human development in medieval society, demonstrating the persistence of these concepts over time, and their relevance for literature and historical and cultural studies is undeniable. It also offers relevant reflections for understanding the transformations in human relations and the importance of virtues as a formative element. Furthermore, the study of the Song of Roland shows us the importance of knowledge arising from historical facts and the need for virtues in all spaces and times.
