dc.description.abstractA nossa pesquisa teve por objetivo pensar o ensino da arte como uma possibilidade de humanização. A proposta é fruto das indagações que surgiram a partir da Política Nacional de Humanização (PNH) proposta pelo Ministério da Saúde: se existe uma política para a humanização é porque os homens precisam ser humanizados. No entanto, o que é humanização? A busca por respostas à essa questão nos direcionou à compreensão da educação, estudo que se iniciou com o pensamento do filósofo Immanuel Kant (1724-1804) e nos fez voltar aos escritos de Aristóteles (384-322 a.C.). A retomada do pensamento aristotélico foi importante para pensarmos acerca da totalidade do que denominamos ‘homem’ e entender o processo que o conduz a tornar-se humanizado. Durante esse percurso, estabelecemos como hipótese para a humanização a empatia, cujo conceito refletimos por meio da obra Teoria dos Sentimentos Morais de Adam Smith (1723-1790), quando o autor apresenta reflexões sobre simpatia. Como proposição de humanização trouxemos a arte, a qual, a nosso ver, possibilita a empatia por meio da catarse que, para Aristóteles, é a purificação dos sentimentos e indispensável na formação humana. O encaminhamento metodológico e a seleção do aporte teórico se justificam pelos pressupostos teóricos da História Social a qual, além de trazer a perspectiva da interdisciplinaridade, nos permite entender que, apesar das mudanças temporais, a ‘essência’ do homem permanece e pensar a humanização é condição humana.
dc.description.resumoThe purpose o four our research was study aimed to think of art teaching as a possibility for humanization. The proposal is the result of the questions that emerged from the National Humanization Policy proposed by the Ministry of Health: if there is a policy for humanization, it is because men need to be humanized. However, what is humanization? The search for this question’s answers led us to the understanding of education, a study that began with the thought of the philosopher Immanuel Kant (1724/1804) and made us return to the writings of Aristotle (384/322 b.C.). The resumption of Aristotelian thought was important to think about the totality of what we call 'man' and to understand the process that leads it to become humanized. During this course, we establish empathy as a hypothesis for humanization, which concept we bethink through the work The Theory of Moral Sentiments by Adam Smith (1723/1790), when the author presents reflexions on sympathy. As a proposal of humanization we brought Art, which, in our view, enables empathy through catharsis which, for Aristotle is the purification of feelings and key for human formation. The methodological forwarding and the selection of theoretical contribution justify itself for a theoretical assumption of Social History which, besides bringing the perspective of interdisciplinarity, allows us to understand that, despite temporal changes, the ‘essence’ of man remains and to think humanization is human condition.
